Right from our lodge, enjoy a taste of summer activities
The Gîte du Vercors sits at the crossroads of many Vercors trails: the start of the GR95, midway along the GTV (Grande Traversée du Vercors), the start of a forest trail, and 1.2km from the Sentier central.
Tucked deep in the Lente forest, you'll find plenty of routes to observe wildlife and plant life that are both unspoilt and remarkable.
With guides, sports partners, or alone with a map, enjoy plenty of activities such as horse or donkey rides, mountain biking, walking or photography. On site you'll find every comfort for welcoming horses and donkeys: a fitted tack room, shower, water, hitching rails, paddocks, hay...

The Gîte du Vercors is an official biker stopover
Motorbike enthusiasts will love our dizzying roads, overlooking the natural Combe Laval cirque. Full throttle towards the Combe Laval road, carved into the rock with numerous tunnels, from Saint-Jean-en-Royans all the way to us. Many routes are possible across the Royans - Vercors - Diois triangle.
You'll also find a large enclosed, covered garage equipped for bicycles, mountain bikes and motorbikes, with tools and a washing point.
Caving & nature
Sinkholes, mushrooms and the deer rut
From spring through autumn, discover superb caving sites. Set off to explore the sinkholes and caves, such as the "Robin", "Félix", "Michelier", "Satyre", "Chuats" sinkholes or the "Chats Perchés" network. Our garages have been fitted out to welcome cavers and dry their gear.
Between mid-August and mid-October, fans of saffron milk caps, porcini, chanterelles and other trumpet mushrooms will be delighted.
In late September, come and listen to the majestic deer rut on the Lente plain or the Ambel plateau, just a few minutes' drive from the lodge.
Close to exceptional tourist sites
Alexandre will be happy to point you towards the must-see places of the Vercors and Royans: museums, caves, a village on stilts, a natural cirque, lakes, gardens, fountains, markets... for a memorable and enriching stay.
