Dog-sledding taster rides, right from our car park
Our lodge hosts Benoît Verin and his outfit Alaskan Vercors Aventure, who run dog-sledding taster rides from November through April, on grass or on snow.
No car needed: the taster rides start right from the Gîte du Vercors car park!
In the heart of the Lente plain, on the edge of the forest, from autumn through spring, come and live a unique experience, comfortably seated in our musher's sled.
During the taster ride, Benoît will share his passion for dog sledding with young and old alike, alongside his pack of 14 Nordic dogs. Fun and accessible to everyone, the taster ride is a great first introduction to the world of dog sledding and will give you a whole new gliding sensation!
Climb aboard a large team of 14 Nordic dogs for a thrilling and energetic ride. Comfortably seated in the sled, let yourself be carried away into a "Far North" atmosphere. A dynamic start that quickly gives way to calm: only the dogs' panting, the soft crunch of paws on snow and the gliding of the runners will keep you company.
Half-hour or one-hour taster rides, over routes of around 10km, across the lovely Lente plain.

What to bring
To make the most of your taster ride in the best conditions:
- Hat
- Warm, waterproof trousers or a snowsuit
- Glove liners and gloves
- Scarf, neck warmer...
In case of wind: ski goggles.
